Program and shortlist of CyberBrukivka, IV Kamianets-Podilsky Film Festival

On Saturday, May 16, on the Day of Europe in Ukraine and the Day of the city of Kamianets-Podilskyi, the IV International Film Festival "BRUKIVKA" will take place, which was named "CyberBrukivka 2(4)20" and will be held online at: The broadcast starts at 15:00.

BRUKIVKA International Film Festival is an independent festival organized annually by director Andriy Zaiets in the Ukrainian city of Kamianets-Podilskyi since 2017. The festival hosts screenings of films of the competition program, meetings with famous directors, various workshops, performances by bands and parties, but due to the pandemic COVID-19 and quarantine, the event will take place online in 2020.

In 45 days, 3,034 works from 110 countries were sent to the festival, including 70 from Ukraine. Most short films came from the United States (260 works), India (224 works), Iran (211 works), Italy (177 works), Brazil (167 works), France (165 works), Spain (157 works) and the United Kingdom. 125 works).

Denis Budanov, a member of the Ukrainian Film Academy and the Union of Film Critics of Ukraine, was the film selector of the national program "CyberBrukivka", and Andriy Zaiets, the organizer of the film festival and director of author's film and television projects, was the selector of the international program. The shortlist of the festival selected 45 works in such categories as:

• "Ukrainian professional short film";

• "Ukrainian amateur short film";

• "Short film in the genre of cyberpunk, post-apocalypse, horror and science fiction",

• "International Short Film";

• “Short film up to 60 seconds;

• "A short film made during the COVID-19 pandemic."

The winners in these nominations will be chosen by a professional jury, which includes a well-known Ukrainian journalist and film critic in "Ukrainian Truth" and "Media Detector", an expert of the "Ukrainian Cultural Foundation" and State Cinema of Ukraine Yaroslav Pidgora-Gvyazdovsky, founder of the festival of independent Ukrainian cinema "Bardak", editor of magazine, member of the Union of Film Critics of Ukraine Anton Frolov, member of the National Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine, International Federation of Film Press (FIPRESCI), Union of Film Critics of Ukraine and Ukrainian Oscar Committee Oleksandr Husev, Ukrainian film director, screenwriter, director Of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Film Academy and the European Film Academy Olena Demyanenko and Ukrainian film director, screenwriter, producer, member of the National Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine, European Film Academy, member of the board of the Ukrainian Film Academy, member of the Ukrainian Film Academy The laboratory Dmytro Tomashpolsky.

The host of the online broadcast will traditionally be the soloist of the Kamianets-Podilsky music group "EXPANSION", actor and TV presenter Georgy "Geron Zai" Toryanyk.
